I watched Brideshead Revisited the day before yesterday. If only read the synopsis of film, it is not my dish at all but because of Garith recommendation I decided to watch it and after watched I would like to thanks Garith words and my sensible decision.
It is a feature film and also contains love story and religion thought. To put in one sentence this is a story about a British noble family’s life. The father, his mistress, mother, elder son, second son, the youngest sister, her husband and a friend of the family named Charles Ryder and also is the view of the story, he was the story teller.
Their special and nice relationship last until the second clue appeared. The film is beginning from that clue and back to the first. The clue is the relationship between Charles Ryder and the youngest sister Julia Flyte. They liked each other but did not say it because of many reason and the biggest is about the religion. The noble family is catholic, especially the mother of the family Lady Marchmain. She did not agree her daughter to marry Charles because he was a atheist and married Julia to another man who was catholic.
Here mention the religion, the mother very papalized and what to control all the people in the family. She believed in god and think the god says everything right to her and all the members in family should follow the words. This is her belief which is also the power supported her to live the life when her husband left them to live with his mistress and her little son doer not listen to her. At the last she died without the forgive from her family members but since she believed in god and she thought the god, the priest forgive her so she did not really have a so bad ending.
