In addition, about Julia, she was kind of the key of the story. Sebastian loved her, his young sister a lot by the reason she liked he and decided to leave when he found Charles and Julia’s love offair. Charles loved her and left Sebastian because of her and for her good to let her marry another man. She used to say she did not like her mother’s way about the Catholicism but when her father was dying she again to pray the god to save he from guilty and hope her father could make the sign of the cross.
She was very contradict to herself, she loved Charles but did not go with him because he used to paint to make a trade with her husband; she did not want to be restrained by the religion and her mother but she listened to her mother’s words to marry a catholic man she did not love to make her mother happy. The life to her was difficult in many ways but happy to see her find her belief at the end and no longer perplexed to the life.
The last one, Charles Ryder, his character and story was changeable and I do not really understand him at the end but you can find he changed himself in some way from the top to the end. He still did not understand the noble family’s belief but he was no longer refused it through the action did not snuffed out the candles in the chapel.
It is hard and not right to say I understand what this film really want to say, I just get some point of it but I talk about it so much here because I think it is good and I like it and obviously I want to share it with you so maybe you will also go and try it one day and get some special things from the movie. Brideshead Revisited deserves to try.
