Yesterday we went to Zhongshan Park to publicize the importance of water. We asked the passersby a question about water, if they got it right they could own a bottle of water for free (not the NongFu Spring, it is not safe). I worked with other eight students to deliver the water and let people know more about the importance of water. We organized to start at ten o’clock in the morning, but actually I arrived there early, I arrived there at nine thirty. I waited for them thirty minutes, but some of them were late, so I stood there waited for the rest people for like one hour. Then after most of us arrived, we started. David and I were in a group to work together. We walked all the way from Zhongshan Park to Cloud Nine Mall, which is near to the line 3 and line 4. And then we walked back to Zhongshan Park and got more water in order to give those to the passersby. We met some foreigners, and we asked them questions and gave them water. They were all very kind to us. But some of the passersby were not that kind, and all of the people that were not that kind were Chinese. I do not know why nowadays people seemed not believe the strangers. Even we said that we were students from SUIS US High School and we want to have a quick ask-and-answer game with you, they still didn’t heed the presence of us, and just walked straightly away. That made me so upset and a little bit angry. Anyway, I think we did do a good job this time. I hope next time we would have more other activity on this and the people would be friendlier to us. ----By Sherry |
