For the next school year, I have three goals for myself:
1. Keep staying on the honor roll
2. Try to be on the student council again
3. Get more involved with extracurricular activities like community service. Also I will continue my dance club.
From what I have heard, 11th grade will be tough. So I think there will be many challenges for me in the near future. I think the biggest challenges will be the TOEFL and SAT. I know they’ll be extremely hard but I will face the challenges with no fear.
About applying for college, I learned that good schools are seeking for students who aren’t only doing well in academic but also being active in the extracurricular activities. I got to know more about how to define “good schools”. There aren’t only Harvard and Stanford in the US but also many other good schools. And I also learned about there would be an application and it is very important when you are applying for colleges.
However, I’d like to know more about applying for college for instance how to write an application? What should appear on a college application? What should we prepare for applying college and when should we be prepared?
This semester, I’ve accomplished a lot. As the president of student council, I kept my promise of having more activities for students. I hold a dance team called Revive. We did cheerleading for Sea Dragons Football Team, and after, we won a second place in “One Dance” competition. Also, my council and I have been working very hard for our big project, which is the first school dance. We want it to be a tradition of SUIS. The school dance is coming soon; I’m looking forward to it. Hope it’ll be a success. And also for this semester, I got in touch with student council president of Jiaoke. We’ve been discussing about having more interschool activities. Although we don’t have much time in this semester, I believe if there’s a chance in the next semester, together we’ll do more and have more collaboration between two schools.
