Well I have been able to bring my Civics from a B to an A and I also brought my English up to a B. I also do my homework more on time and I am pretty proud of how I am doing. I also pay more attention in my Art and K12 Subjects.
But I think I still need some more improvements, because I want to have A on my English, Geometry, K12, Public Speaking and Geometry. These are some subjects that I really want an A for, so I need to work harder to achieve that. I also need to improve my Chinese, because it is my mother language and it is the subject that I need to most improvement for.
My first goal is to be inside the honor roll and get a GPA over 3.5, this is my goal for this year and if I accomplished it then my goal will be staying in it next year. My second goal is to participate in more after school activities in the school, such as joining the school basketball team if there is going to be one. My third goal is to improve my Chinese up to a B, this is something that is going to be very hard since I didn't learn any Chinese for 3 years before coming back from Bangladesh.
I think it is going to be the TOEFL and the pressure I can get from homework deadlines and projects that I need to work on is the biggest challenges for next year of school, because I knew it very well that grade 11 is going to be much tougher because in 2 years time, I will head off to college.
It is not about going to the best college, because there is no the best. Applying to a college that gives high educations and teaches great thing about what I want to do for the rest of my life, that is what is important. It is not about the SAT score that matters, it is the purpose and your academic career that matter. I learned that University loves students that dream big and want to contribute to the country or even the world, since living is about changing the world.
I'd like to know how different it is to be in a university than in high school, is it the way we learn or the level of what we learn? I also like to know how can I apply to a college, can a teacher help me? What other important information does a college need about me for me to get accepted?
After learning about my grade so far up to date, I still think that I am far away from an A, because I have to do good on my final exam. I really want an A and I have worked hard this term to keep my academics up and doing my work on time, even though there are times when I didn't submitted my work on time due to Internet failure, dinner outside or whatever reason there is. But I am sure that I did every single work and tried to enjoy it. I have to enjoy studying and doing homework, because this is something I have to do for the next 2 years and the 4 years afterwards.
