I have been researching players in America, how hard they work and how dedicated they are to the sport. How successful they become. It seems like I am lightyears behind them. I need a GPA of at least 2.7 to get into some of the colleges I am interested in to play football. Experience wise almost every athlete in America has me beat. There are many programs to help people like myself gain experience fast and prepare us for College football. The summer before my Senior year I will be attending many football camps in American Universities. All my Junior year I will have to train harder, at least 4 days on technique and at least 3 days I need to spend at the gym.
Two of my team mates are going scouted by Universities at the moment. It is exiting to see your fellow team mates be presented with opportunities like this when you have been with them for so long. One of our players Kevin has had offers from 4 different universities. He turned down one full ride scholarship in chance that he can get into the other schools such as Harvard, Stanford and Memphis. All of these Universities are looking at Kevin and he will have a answer if they want him or not in the next month. They have all expressed interest in Kevin which is exciting.
I am not into football because of my father, or because of anyone else. I am interested in football because of how fun the sport is, because of the feeling you get while playing it. The reason why I want to train so hard is because realistically football can provide opportunities that excite me. Already I have received interest letters from universities that give me hope that maybe playing a sport I love at a college level is possible.
