Today, our wonderful dance club captain, Kathy, took us to join in a dance competition which is called One Dance. It is held by Shanghai High School International Division, and their purpose is to provide a good stage for Shanghai International schools, every dancer and dance teams that were fond of dancing. The profit they made will fund to poor children in Asia to buy more books and built new libraries for them. Due to the invitation of Jiaoke campus, we also participate in this event, which also made us feel really excited. At first, we felt so nervous during the rehearsal. My partner, Lisa, said that she can even hear the beat of my heart. Because of the stage problem, we need to change a lot when we danced.
Among all the participants in the competition, we are the smallest, and the only one comes from SUIS, so honestly we felt many pressures. Many of other participants were from Shanghai High School International Division. I want to admit that their English accent is so America way. It seems like they are just the native speakers. So in the way, it can reflect that we still have a lot space in improving our English. And most of them have been dancing for more than 3 years. But in our team, neither of us has taken the professional dance lesson except Kathy. However, at last, we still won the second place in this competition. We felt so excited when we heard that. The moment when we stand on the stage together, we felt that all the effort we did was worth. Parents congratulate us and told us the performance was awesome, excellent and brilliant. We believe next time, we can do better, and grab the first place! Kyd
1. Be regular. You will create a new blog post every other day or 4 times per week. Each post will contain 200 or more words.
2. Be respectful. 3 times a week you will write at least one comment on someone else's post about what they have written.
This is a sandbox, not a litter box. You are free to play as you wish, but respect others' ideas and feelings.
3. Be interesting. There is a whole universe out there with almost unlimited things to talk about. We don't want to read about what you ate for lunch everyday. Tell us a story. Talk about something that happened in the news. Use pictures. Wow us with your wit and your charm.
