I forgot it’s when we went to the Shanghai Museum of Glass for art presentation, but I think that time really made me learn a lot. I went there with Garith, David, Linda and his mom. Shanghai Museum of Glass enables visitors to experience a magical, changeful, colorful, sparkling and crystal-clear glass world by virtue of a new idea of interaction and applications of multimedia.
As I heard from the hot glass performance, these glasses need to be burned in above 1100 degrees fire in order to transform the glass and make them beautiful and the shape that we want. I looked that whole performance when the workers showed us how to make a final glass art work from a small glass stick. First, he used the high temperature fire to melt the glass stick, and blow it into a small bubble. And then he need to use the fire to make sure the shape is stable. Later, he used some other colorful glass stick to add on that bubble in order to make that bubble looked more beautiful and attractive. Though it’s hard for me to use my own words to describe the step of making an art work, I am sure that if you can have a chance to go there and stop for a while and enjoy the performance, you must will feel amazing and surprising. Hoping you can go there once.
