6.3% of the population is obese in Iran as 2008, and overweight was more among women (39.5%) and men (24.5%). An Iranian organization is on a compaign to reduce the obesity and The Isfahan Health Heart Programme has taken actions, like persuading around 40 restaurants in Isfahan to offer low-fat, low-calorie meals in addition to their regular meals and doing more exercise. Iran agrees with Vietnam’s methods solving the issue and also the other Asian countries and it has done that the health education for both kids and adults, and exercise classes and cooking classes for teaching how to cook low-fats.
