Last weekend, I went to Shengzhen to visit the art exhibition, “Let them eat mushroom”. It’s a concept art group exhibition. It gathers artists and designers in different domains, and let them express their own understand of “Mushroom”. Using Mushroom as the theme is because it’s mysterious. Mushrooms live and grow in a dark, wet environment; some of them are poison and some of them are tasty; and mushroom is also a represent of our childhood. The understand of mushroom shows artists’ thought about life and human psychology.
It calls “Fantasy Land”. The artist wants to express the theme of childhood. The pileus of mushroom becomes a parachute of a piggy. The scene looks lovely and funny. It shows the single logic during human’s childhood.
This artist focuses on psychology. The fungus girl is imprisoned in a glass container. She looks colorful and poison. She’s showing us her heart which is full of fungi expressionlessly. This art work tries to express psychological dark side of human beings.
This art work calls “Spore”. It consists with huge number of Pearls of different sizes and a few bulbs. The Pearl and bulbs represent the spores of fungi. The spores is the basic of life. Some of the spores are bright and others are dark: it show the life cycle of live and death.
1. Be regular. You will create a new blog post every other day or 4 times per week. Each post will contain 200 or more words.
2. Be respectful. 3 times a week you will write at least one comment on someone else's post about what they have written.
This is a sandbox, not a litter box. You are free to play as you wish, but respect others' ideas and feelings.
3. Be interesting. There is a whole universe out there with almost unlimited things to talk about. We don't want to read about what you ate for lunch everyday. Tell us a story. Talk about something that happened in the news. Use pictures. Wow us with your wit and your charm.
