______ You can’t depend on anyone else; you can only depend on yourself.
First thing is that I really missed my parents! Gosh! I really couldn’t bear it. Everyone would get lonely when they leave their parents, especially a 6-year-old child, like me. I cried, I shouted, but I couldn’t get my parents there. So I just stopped doing that. ‘Cause no matter how loud you cried, the tears wouldn’t bring your parents, and nobody would ever care how loud you cried, they would only think that you’re noisy.
The second thing is what mainly made me believe that I should depend on myself. Since we were just primary students, there’re some teachers who took care of us and helped us on washing clothes. However, you would have to put your clothes in a special place so that the teachers would collect them and put them into the washing machine. When I was home, my mum always did that for me, so I didn’t have that habit as well as the consciousness to do it by myself. Well, the consequence was, one day I found out that there is no clean cloth for me to change and I had to wear the one I wore yesterday. From that moment I realized that I have to everything by myself.
Another thing that made up my mind to take the responsibility of myself is about my homework.
One day our teacher gave us a really difficult question and told us to find the answer of it. No one could figure out this. So I thought, since no one could answer it, and I don’t have to work for it, because nobody can do it. But the next day, almost half of my classmates gave their answers to the teacher, there’s only me, couldn’t hand in my work. And since that, I realized that if you didn’t work hard, others would be better than you. And you cannot depend on others, because all you can depend is yourself.
This is what I got from my personal experience. You can’t depend on anyone else; you can only depend on yourself. This, I believe.
